Comment: Guitar Salon International has introduced this young Spanish luthier to the American market because of his technical skills–the guitar is constructed flawlessly– and the sensitivity of voicing in this traditional instrument. I hear a similarity to the Traphagen and Teodoro Perez guitars on site, in that they all have a fairly demure presence–not overly bold but with a steady intelligence that charms the player within minutes of running through favorite pieces. Volume is not always the friend to color and nuance. By comparison, the Brune and Bernabe Especial stable mates announce an aggressive confidence when pushed; the Monne is sweet and creamy by comparison. A very comfortable and easy guitar to play. For any acolyte of traditional Spanish luthierie, this is a guitar to consider. The folks at GSI think this is a builder on the way up, and I agree.
