2022 David Pelter lattice

Woods: Exotic ebony back and sides, cedar top with light lattice bracing. Spanish cedar neck. Appears to be French polished.

Specs: 650mm scale, 53mm nut, 43mm string spacing at nut, 57mm at saddle. 4mm string height, bass, 12th fret. 12 hole tie block, humicase, arm rest. Distinctive rosette and purfling contrast well against the primary woods.

Condition:    The back has a repaired crack along the center line.  Aside from a light but lengthy scratch on the back of the guitar, the condition is as new.

Comment: just tuning up this consigned arrival showed me how much crisp power the guitar possesses. The very thin top is supported by quite light lattice bracing with a sliver of carbon fiber. The very growly bass is a nice feature, especially in drop D, where the deep resonance is a special plus. Even the A string is in the basement. The mids and trebles are balanced and complete a high energy guitar. The words I attribute are crisp and punchy. An intelligent instrument that makes the player sound better than perhaps he or she otherwise would. I expect this British luthier will become better known as his guitars are heard and played.
