Comment: the Falkiner label, out of Sydney, has produced three exceptional guitars for their price. The two straight lattice guitars, also on this site, are heavy, Aussie style boomers but this double top with a lattice bracing, in the style of the Hill Performance model, is light, with a quick note bloom. I was surprised to see the lattice bracing, as only the volume and sustain levels are a giveaway that this is not a traditional guitar. Not a hint of the nasal overtones that can spoil lattice efforts. It’s an earnest musical partner, delivering a clean sound with reasonable color palette, with the bass and treble side well balanced. It has a sunny disposition and is very easy to play.
