2010 Teodoro Perez Concierto model
Woods: rich grained Indian rosewood back and sides and dark cedar top. Finish appears to be nitro lacquer but research suggests Perez was using shellac on this model. Spanish cedar neck.
Specs: 650mm scale, 52mm nut, 43.5mm string spacing at nut, 57mm at saddle. Inlay purfling around binding matches the rosette. Five strut fan bracing inside of two sweeping braces that run obliquely from bridge to outer bouts at butt. This is a typical Madrid style of bracing that was made uniform during the Ramirez golden years.
Condition: the top is flawless, while the back has a few scratches. Otherwise, the guitar presents as new and has not noticeable structural issues. The case is an older hard case but is in solid condition.
Comment: this guitar has instant appeal. As a traditionally constructed Spanish guitar, one expects character and volume. It does not disappoint. It has plenty of energy, lots of color in its voicing. A nice balance of bass, mids, and trebles. Comparable to instruments by Ignacio Rozas and Casimiro Lozano on this site.
