2024 Falkiner lattice cedar/granadillo

Woods: figured red cedar top and granadillo back and sides, Spanish cedar neck. Nitro lacquer throughout.

Specs: lattice bracing, sound port, armrest, 20th fret, DeJung tuners, 12 hole tie block, metro case. 53mm nut, 43.5mm string spacing at nut, 57mm at saddle.  Bass string height at 12th fret is just under 4mm. Lots of room for adjustment in the saddle if required.

Comment: this is another Yulong Guo product built to Falkiner specifications, and is an upgrade from the basic model with Indian rosewood. These guitars are proving to be a great value for serious students or players for whom a concert level instrument is too big an investment.  I am always impressed with the power and pleasant voice this line possesses. The sound port delivers extra volume to the player. Lacquer finish resists dings and nicks for the life of the guitar and is generally impervious to moisture, which can damage shellac finishes in warm conditions.

I also note the easy playability and fairly narrow profile on the neck depth. Very comfortable. The granadillo is a sustainably harvested tone wood.
